Attention Connecticut Pilots:  An Update on the proposed change in the taxation of pension benefits.  I talked to Senator Deluca today (5/25) and he advised me that he is in favor of this bill.  He thinks it probably won’t pass, but pressure from residents might help.  It is currently in the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee, a joint House Senate committee.  The Chairs of the committee are: Represenative Cameron C. Staples, Dem., 860-240-8585, and Senator Eileen M. Daily, Dem, 800-842-1420.

 

Representative Arthur J. O’Neil, 69^th District and  Senator Louis C Deluca, 32^nd district have both told me that they support this bill.

 

The Legislature recesses in two weeks, so if this bill is to pass this session, time is critical.  Call your Representative and Senator, and the two chairpersons mentioned above.   Thanks, Dan Hennessy
