Attention All Connecticut Residents:  I just got wind of a bill that is wending its way through the General Assembly.  It is Senate Bill 1170.  It apparently was intended to give a break to state employees from state income tax.  But is has been amended to include other pensions.  “This bill exempts from state income tax any federally taxable income form a defined benefit pension plan….”  Full details are on the State of Connecticut web site.

 

I would urge all Connecticut retired Pilots to contact you state Senator and Representative to lobby for this bill.  It will be all the more important to save on taxes here in Connecticut with the impending destruction of our pensions.
