Many of you may be wondering when Council 52's Annual Retirement Party is being scheduled.

 

Well, it isn't... at least for the indefinite future.

 

Apparently, with all of United's (and our) problems, nobody felt in the mood for a retirement party. And probably, most retirees weren't in the mood for attending an ALPA-sponsored event... to put it mildly.

 

So, our luncheon on Wed June 15th will be your last opportunity to visit with your fellow retirees until our next luncheon in the Fall.

 

For those of you who haven't yet signed up for the luncheon, the details are appended (below). Perhaps by then, we'll know more about how much of a hit we'll all be taking in our pensions, and whether or not United is going to terminate our medical benefits, too. But there will still be lots of guessing about United's viability as an airline... with the final hit being our pass privileges.

 

So, for a chance to rise above the gloom and doom, to focus on all the good things going on in our lives, and to visit again with some of those great guys who helped make flying so much fun, please plan to join us at the Montclair Golf Club.
