I received this from an active  -400 co-pilot.

 

 Folks:

 

 Just found out UAL had a 747-400 repoed effective immediately. Now they are scrambling to adjust the schedule. I understand that the LAX-IAD daily will be down-gauged to something else. So for those of us scheduled to fly that, we'll probably see an adverse change in our pay credit. This is on the heals of losing 4 767-300 less than 2 months ago through the repo process. Someone needs to tell our illustrius managers that they are running an airline that is in the business of moving people from point A to B requiring airplanes. For this I am sure they will give themselves another bonus and the judge will extend the exclusivity period AGAIN for such a great job our managers are doing losing airplanes left and right!

 

 I am really getting upset with how my carreer is being trampled on by these so called "airline managers". I think its time to contact Capt. Bathurst and demand that heads roll on this. How many more airplanes are we to lose before we can't carry the passengers that have already paid to travel on us. Now the company through PBS, just created another reason to build more 70 hr. lines for more pilots because we do not have the airplanes to accomodate full lines of flying. This, is another pay cut.
